Jesmond’s Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Newcastle, has opened bookings its Mothering Sunday and Easter Monday events – Sunday lunch on 14th March and afternoon tea on 5th April.

Mums with receive, appropriately, a complimentary glass of Mumm champagne before their Mother’s Day lunch, served between 12pm and 3.30pm, while children will be able to enjoy an Easter Monday egg hunt the Mansion House’s three-acre grounds on Fernwood Road, before tea is served between 2pm and 5pm.

Each event will feature the Mansion House’s resident pianist, and there will be cartoons too on Mothering Sunday to entertain children.
