Armstrong Bridge mugging
Police are hunting a hooded gang after a man was robbed whilst walking to work in Jesmond.
The victim was crossing Armstrong Bridge at around 9.20pm last Monday night (22nd February) when he was approached by four men and forced to hand over his wallet.
The gang are described as wearing dark hooded tops and speaking with local accents.
Although the man was unhurt, police say the latest mugging serves as a reminder for Jesmond residents to stay vigilant as the winter nights continue.
