Jesmond Dene House is offering bookworms, and aspiring local authors, an opportunity this month to dine with Victorian-detective novelist Anne Perry.

Perry has had more than 50 novels published, and also some short stories, and is the first guest to appear at the hotel’s “Dine with an Author” events. The 1oth March event can cater for up to 20 people (advance bookings only) who will hear about Perry’s new book “The Sheen on the Silk” during dinner before getting their chance to ask the author questions.
