Osborne Dental Surgery in Jesmond is using today’s National No Smoking Day as an opportunity to encourage more people in Jesmond to give up the habit. More than a million people in the UK who take part in National No Smoking Day go on to quit every year. “For National No Smoking day we have put together a display of information about all the resources available to someone who wants to quit smoking,” explains Osborne Dental Surgery’s Pritpal Dhanoya.

The resources range from oral cancer checks conducted during examinations by the dental surgeons, to calculators which work out how much money you could save by not smoking. The surgery will also be displaying much of this information at this Saturday’s Jesmond Community Fair.
