Jesmond restaurants prepare for Valentine’s Day
A range of restaurants around Jesmond are offering special Valentine’s Day menus to those wishing to celebrate the occasion with a romantic dinner.
Louis’ on Osborne Road is offering four courses for £45. Diners can choose from meals such as stir-fried king prawns, roast duck breast, and strawberry pavlova.
Jesmond Brasserie, also on Osborne Road, has a menu that allows diners to choose from a variety of starters, main courses, and deserts instead of paying a set price for three courses.
Italian restaurant Fratello’s, located on Jesmond Road, has created a Valentine’s Day menu that offers three courses for £24.95 per person and includes a glass of sparkling wine. Entertainment is also scheduled for the evening.
Not long after finishing a week of meal deals as part of Newcastle’s Restaurant Week, As You Like It is also offering a special menu for the occasion. For £35 per head, diners will receive a three-course meal, which includes lemon sorbet and sparkling wine between the starter and main course.
Franco’s on Brentwood Avenue is not only offering a Valentine’s Day menu on 14th February, but also on the days surrounding it. For those who cannot dine out on Valentine’s Day, Franco’s menu will be available until 15th February. Customers will receive three courses for £25.
A five-course Valentine’s dinner will be held at Jesmond Dene House on 14th February. Marketing manager Nicky Sherman told JesmondLocal that the hotel hosts two Valentine’s dinners (it also held one at the weekend) due to their popularity on previous Valentine’s Days.
However, restaurants are not the only Jesmond eateries participating in Valentine’s Day festivities. Those looking to celebrate the occasion without dining out in a restaurant can indulge in Valentine’s goodies from local cafes and bakeries.
Mistletoe Bakery and Archer’s Ice Cream Parlour will both be selling Valentine’s sweets.
To take advantage of Valentine’s Day menus, most restaurants recommend booking in advance.
