Schools in Jesmond have raised over £2100 for Children in Need.
Last Friday pupils took part in a variety of money-raising initiatives, including a spot-themed clothes day.
Over £1400 was raised by Newcastle Preparatory School where the motto for the day was ‘”Show your spots, let’s raise lots’’. Year 6 pupils helped out by putting on a range of activities such as; “Splat your teacher” and, “Find Pudsy Island”.
Pupils at RGS Juniors organised the fund-raising themselves and raised £607.15 through ‘RGS has talent’, cake sales, raffles and face painting.
Church High girls went to school in spotted onesies, pyjamas and dressing gowns, and sold cakes to raise £512.
West Jesmond Primary raised £600 as they dressed in spots and discussed the origins of Pudsy on their weekly podcast.
