As a part of a new series looking at small businesses based in the area, JesmondLocal reporters Maya Sivamany, Eliza Fayer and Josie Ayre met with Kate Emmett to talk about her local venture, Cake Poppins which she runs from her home on Abbotsford Terrace.

Kate’s small business has gone from strength to strength over the last three years and she now runs monthly cupcake and cake pops classes as well as baking customised cakes for clients.
