Honour Health Dental Practice have agreed a three year sponsorship deal with West Jesmond AFC. The dental practice, based on Jesmond’s Osborne Road, is the newest main kit sponsor for the club.

Formerly known as Osborne Dental, Honour Health has three dental practices across Newcastle in Ponteland, Jesmond and Stanley.

The change in its name last year, as well as this latest partnership, comes as part of a rebrand in which the company have committed to promoting exercise and a healthy lifestyle and support groups in their local communities who also share these values.

West Jesmond AFC was founded in 2004, beginning life in the Tyneside Amateur League second division. They quickly gained promotion to the first division in 2006 and the next year reached their first cup final.

Arguably their greatest achievement came in 2012 when they won the quadruple – the Tyneside Amateur League First Division, the John Hampson Memorial Trophy, the Tyneside Amateur Shield and the Neville Cowey Cup – in the same season. Since then, the team has achieved consistent success, finishing in the top four of the Tyneside Amateur League in consecutive seasons.

West Jesmond AFC manager James Hunter told JesmondLocal: “The new kits form part of our new club identity, which includes a new badge and social media presence, and we are confident that with the support of Honour Health we will be able to push our club to the next level. We are definitely on the same wavelength… as we both want to promote ways to live a healthier life – and to have fun at the same time”.
