St Hilda's Flower Festival honoured the "Spirit of the Tyne" last weekend, representing the river's main features - from the mouth of the Tyne, Tynemouth Priory and ferry crossing the Tyne, to the Sage, Baltic, Millennium Bridge, Tyne Bridge, Castle Keep and Metro Centre. (Photograph by David Whinham)
