Drama-based learning workshop in Dene

A taster interactive drama workshop aiming for professionals who work with young people will take place at Jesmond Dene Conference Centre this Friday (15th June).

The session, organised by Helen McCree and Jo Huband from Capability Partnership and colleague Luke Pennington, will showcase drama-based learning facilitation and coaching techniques to help professionals teach young people how to cope with the transition from education into the world of work.

Huband told JesmondLocal: ‘This workshop provides participants with a new technique, drama-based learning, which could be used across a range of learning and training environments. This technique is very powerful within learning, helping to unpack issues, develop new perspectives, and challenge assumptions to achieve greater buy in.”

The workshop will allow participants to employ their imagination and creativity, while developing and sharing learning skills in a pleasant and welcoming environment.

You can register for your free place at http://dramatasterworkshop.eventbrite.com

Coffee will be served from 9.30am, before the workshop starts at 10.00am and finishes at 1.00pm. Lunch will be  available from 1.00pm until 2.00pm.
