The UK Independence Party will for the first time contest the North and South Jesmond ward seats in the May 22nd local elections.

The following candidates have been announced by Newcastle City Council, and you can meet and quiz them at our Question Time-style hustings event on Monday 19th May, from 7.45pm at Jesmond Library.

North Jesmond

Duncan  CRUTE – The Conservative Party

Tim  DOWSON – The Green Party

Peter R  SMITH – Labour and Co-operative Party

Will  SOLYOM – UK Independence Party (UKIP)

Catherine Ellen Bernadette  WALKER – Liberal Democrats

South Jesmond

Arlene  AINSLEY – Labour Party

Samuel  LEE – The Conservative Party

Penny  STANSFIELD – UK Independence Party (UKIP)

Tony  WATERSTON – The Green Party

Tom  WOODWARK – Liberal Democrats

As part of Jesmond Community Festival, JesmondLocal will be inviting all the candidates to take part in an election hustings at Jesmond Library on Monday 19th May from 7.45pm.
