Over the rainbow at Franco’s
Theatre Productions Limited will be holding a charity lunch at Franco’s tomorrow in aid of the seventh annual tour of the Eva Cassidy Musical and to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The award winning musical, Over the Rainbow: The Eva Cassidy Story, which journeys through the singer’s life, is touring the UK and is visiting the Whitley Bay Playhouse on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of October.
The lunch, held at Franco’s Italian restaurant on Brentwood Mews, will include a champagne reception, a two-course lunch and an afternoon of entertainment, compèred by North East entertainer Steve Walls.
Guests will also receive a ticket for that evening’s performance of the musical at the Playhouse in Whitley Bay. The stars of the musical will also be attending and guests will have an opportunity to meet and mingle with members of the cast including Sarah Jane Buckley (Hollyoaks) who leads the cast as Eva Cassidy, Maureen Nolan (The Naked Truth, Blood Brothers and The Nolans) who takes on the role of Barbara Cassidy, and Strictly Come Dancing’s Brian Fortuna, who will be making his acting debut as Danny Cassidy.
Entertainment will include a live performance from Sarah Jane Buckley, singing some of Eva Cassidy’s best-known numbers, and a charity raffle with luxury prizes. A donation of £5 from each ticket will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Places are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. All tickets must be purchased in advance.
