With local improv/comedy outfit The Suggestibles performing to a packed house tonight at 8.30pm (special guest Steve Sheen), Jon Farthing, events organiser at the Royal British Legion‘s newly-renovated venue says The Mixer is looking for more comedy and musical talent to grace its stage – especially any hidden away in the Jesmond student body.

Farthing told JesmondLocal about the many upcoming events at The Mixer, including the Newcastle New Music Night on 26^th November, the weekly Tuesday night live jazz shows as well as improv/comedy workshops, quiz/bingo nights and the free Mixer Movies screenings held every Sunday.

Students and locals and can also take advantage of the Legion Wednesday drink deals (selected lagers starting at £1.50), while on 31^st December, The Suggestibles are back to host the club’s New Year’s Eve extravaganza.
