Jesmond’s As You Like It will host “Fashion Front Row” tomorrow (Tuesday 29th May) as part of Newcastle Fashion Week. The event will be presented by radio and television host Jayne Middlemiss, who is originally from Bedlington in Northumberland.

The catwalk show will feature the north east’s best emerging and established fashion talent. Fashion designer Emma Bell, who showcased her work at London Fashion Week, will headline the show. Attendees can also expect to see collections from The Libertarian, Rock n Rose, and the lingerie line Tallulah Love.

A spokesperson for Tallulah Love told JesmondLocal: “The collections are all vintage inspired with a contemporary twist. All of the pieces are delightfully romantic, pretty and utterly feminine.” The brand’s latest kimono piece will be included in the showcased lingerie collection.

In addition to women’s clothing, a range of menswear will also be featured. Fashion from Heaton-based Al’s Musique Boutique, which offers vintage menswear and accessories, will be displayed on the catwalk.

Newcastle Fashion Week is associated with the Alive After Five initiative. In January, As You Like It participated in Newcastle Restaurant Week.

Entry to Fashion Front Row is free, but a £3 charity donation on door is suggested. Doors open at 7pm.

Newcastle Fashion Week runs until 3rd June. For more information on shows and events, please visit http://www.get-into-newcastle.co.uk/nfw
