Police were called to the scene on Osborne Terrace following a report of concern regarding the welfare of the man.
Northumbria Police is bringing back its “Operation Delta” to “prevent cyclists from causing a serious accident”. “We have received a number of calls from residents in Jesmond about cyclists who have been riding on footpaths in the evenings and not using any lights,” said neighbourhood
A formal complaint has been made to Northumbria Police after a house-party on Grosvenor Place in Jesmond was shut down at the end of November. Four people were arrested with one receiving a penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly. A Northumbria Police spokesperson said:

Northumbria Police have released a statement urging students in the Jesmond area not to gather on the roofs of their properties while enjoying the current spell of warm weather.
A man entered the supermarket on Osborne Road last Friday at 7.10am, with his face covered and brandishing a suspected firearm. Northumbria Police say he threatened staff before stealing around 120 packets of cigarettes, then escaping in the direction of Acorn Road.
